The March 2004 Millennium Project Planning Committee Meeting was organized by the the Brazil Node with support from Amana Institute, Brazil, and the Catholic University of São Paulo.
Dr. Arnoldo José de Hoyos, Rosa Alegria, and Giovanni Barontini, represented the Núcleo de Estudos do Futuro Brazil at the Millennium Project Planning Committee meeting.
Mrs. Alegria presented the Brazilian Node's report and the work of Nucleo de Estudos do Futuro (NEF) that works under the ausipces of The Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). (Report to be posted soon)
The Millennium Project Planning Committee meeting was followed by a day-long press conference organized as a round-table on Global Futures Issues.
Than some Millennium Project representatives met in Curitiba with federal and local government representatives to discuss future energy issues and technologies.

Rosa Alegria, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, Node Co-Chair, represented the Brazil Node at the Millennium Project Planning Committee meeting in July 29-31, Washington, DC. She presented the new developments concerning Brazilian government's policy, the importance given to environment and poverty aleviation, and new work of Nucleo de Estudos do Futuro (NEF). Mrs. Alegria also represented the Brazilian Node at the "Futures from Around the World" session of the World Future Society Conference.
