University courses
Evolved a syllabi for 4 courses including inputs from the State of
the Future reports. It was approved at the Department Council meeting.
The courses are:

Two other courses have been framed and approved by the Syndicate and Academic
Council of Madurai University for the Department of Entrepreneurship studies:

Talks and articles
Delivered a talk on Challenges and Issues of the new Millennium in Tamil
language which was broadcast by all India Radio.
Brought out articles / News items in Media on the Millennium Project:

The Hindu - an English (National )Daily on 3 days

Dhinamalar - a Tamil daily on one day

Kumukumam - a weekly Tamil magazine - one week

Rotastex Souvenir (Rotary International Magazine) - one article
Invited to talk on "Indicators of Sustainable Development" at a State level
workshop at a Polytechnic Institute on 10 Dec 1999.
Discussed the future issues of Women at Mother Teressa Women's University,
Kodaikanal.
As Special Officer (for Planning & Development) of the University
Anandhavally disseminates the information of the State of the Future to
several colleges affiliated to the Madurai University.
Major obstacles
Because of some technical problems (related to the internet) the communication
with the Washington office is sometimes difficult. We hope to solve these
soon.
